TexNov multi-use polymer is a blend of two acrylic resin and specialized aggregate components with inorganic pigments, marble grains, quartz sand, silica aggregates, additives and high performance fungicides. Mixed in equal parts, TexNov multi-use polymer can be used as an adhesive (tiles, stone…), to cover and fasten fibreglass mesh to compatible insulation material or as a levelling and repair coat to prepare a surface for the TEXNOV finishing compound.

Coverage

An 18-litre container covers approximately 50 square feet with a 1/8 inch coat.

Properties

Application:

After mixing the two TexNov multi-use polymer components in equal parts (1:1 volume), the product must be applied within approximately one hour depending on the ambient temperature. Product must be applied at temperatures of at least 5°C (40°F).

Drying:

Drying time of the TexNov multi-use polymer compound depends on ambient temperature and relative humidity. Under normal drying conditions, that is to say at 21°C (70°F) and 55% RH, drying can require up to 24 hours. Protect wall from bad weather.

During product application:

To apply TexNov multi-use polymer, surface and air temperatures must be of at least 5°C (40°F) and must remain so for at least 24 hours.

Temporary protection:

As long as priming, finishing and sealing compound application has not been completed, protect wall against adverse weather and any other possible damaging factors.

Surface preparation:

Surfaces to cover with TexNov multi-use polymer must not be at temperatures below 5°C (40°F), painted or sealed. They must be clean and dry and form an adequate structure. They must be free of grease, oil and any other product that could prevent adequate adhesion.

Blend:

Mix equal parts of the two TexNov multi-use polymer components. Mix well using an electric mixer. Let stand for five minutes. Mix again adding a small quantity of compound A, if necessary.

Storage

Primer must be stored in well-sealed containers at 5°C (40°F) or above.

Precautions

Clean water can be added to primer to ease application. Be careful not to add too much water, which could make the product more difficult to apply.
